This Fairly Unattractive Building Is Coming to Sunnyside

New, 6 comments

Although all talk of new development in Sunnyside has been centered around the push to develop on top of the neighborhood's rail yards lately, other developments are still popping up in the neighborhood. Case in point, this funky looking mixed-use building that will rise on the corner of Greenpoint Avenue and 48th Street. YIMBY reports that the four-story building is being developed by AB Capstone and will feature ground floor retail, a second-floor community facility, and two residential floors with ten rental apartments in total. Jarmel Kizel Architects designed the interesting-looking building. The developer expects to begin construction in late summer and complete the building in 18 months.
