Robert Durst Is Not The Frontman of Limp Bizkit, Okay?; More

THE INTERNET—Since last week when an AP wire item mistakenly identified Robert Durst as the former lead singer of Limp Bizkit, there has been no solace for Fred Durst, who is actually the nu metal group frontman. In the aftermath, Durst (Fred) has been so inconsolable that he has taken measures to identify himself as other than Durst (Robert). As per Defamer, "The overwhelming popularity of the HBO miniseries The Jinx has brought down shame on the Durst family name. Dursts everywhere, whether directly related to the NYC real estate family or not, have had to assert their independence from the alleged serial killer." At that, Fred's attempting to set the record straight with a sweatshirt and an ominous-looking mugshot portrait. Let's hope this works itself out—or not, because this is just good comedy. FINANCIAL DISTRICT—As of yesterday, Brookfield Place is officially open to the masses. The high-end shopping mall adjacent to the World Trade Center plaza also brings with it Le District, a 30,000-square-foot French-inspired marketplace. Shop on, folks. [CurbedWire inbox; previously]
