The Fall of Alec Baldwin's Devonshire House Empire Has Begun

New, 3 comments

Actor/avid cyclist Alec Baldwin appears to be making good on his threat to leave New York City, having put one of his Devonshire House apartments on the market for $2.35 million. And so the disassembly of the The Empire begins. Baldwin bought the eight-floor one-bedroom, the most recent addition to his collection, in 2013, paying $2.25 million. He also owns a penthouse in the building as well as the unit next door. The listed apartment, its broker claims, would make "the perfect pied a terre or full time residence" for anyone looking to move to "a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign," as Baldwin described New York last year.
