The boutique East Williamsburg condo building at 150 Richardson Street originally planned to launch sales a year ago (and then again last fall), but the listings never materialized. Now, however, things looks serious. The eight-unit project has full website, and the marketing team at Inhouse Group sent around a press kit, noting they are on track to open in April. There's still no word on pricing, but the website details the interiors. The building is "inspired by historic warehouse buildings," and the homes feature lots of old warehouse-y things: exposed brick walls (made of brick reclaimed from a carriage & buggy factory, no less), exposed concrete beams, blackened steel accents, and "antique" hardwood floors.
The five-story building, developed by Black Diamond Development, holds two two-bedroom penthouses, four one-bedrooms, one-bedroom duplex, and one "studio loft" with 12-foot ceilings. All homes have private outdoor space; for several units, the outdoors space is accessible through "custom made folding glass wall systems to transform fixed walls into flexible openings that invite the outside in and remove visual and physical barriers."
Brooklyn-based designers created most of the interior finishes. Design firm Arm & Leg consulted on and built the kitchens, which have stone counters, shaker-style cabinets, walnut shelving, and glass subway tile backsplash. The bathrooms feature custom-made steel and mahogany vanities by Withers & Grain.
