New East Williamsburg Building Could Use Some Curtains

New, 4 comments

NY YIMBY has published a couple renderings of the new residential development that's headed to 764 Metropolitan Avenue, where it will replace a two-story house. The six-story, ten-unit building vaguely resembles a dollhouse in that it's all windows and balconies and, at least the way it's depicted, it looks like you can stand on the street and look right into all the apartments. The concept is described by architect Mortar Architecture + Development as "elongated exposed steel balconies with glass railings, landscaping through-out, cedar ceilings and oversized windows." The project is being developed by the Kraus Organization, which acquired the site last year for just over $2.3 million.
