These Anglular Apartment Buildings Will Rise In Bushwick

Architect Charles Mallea, who appears to be on a mission to bring battlements back into popular design, has composed three buildings for 24-28 Starr Street in Bushwick. YIMBY, who spotted the rendering, speculates that the project was split into three buildings to avoid including parking as per area zoning requirements for projects containing 24 apartments or more.

The buildings will each have 8 apartments averaging 675-square-feet in size, and will rise between Central and Wilson avenues. An LLC helmed by Lazer Waldman—Ed. note: cool name—is developing the site. A similarly-named LLC has picked up more lots across the street.
