It's been quite a while since we last checked up on the Battery Maritime Building, but after years of planning and delays, the glassy hotel addition is finally taking shape. Andrew Fine over at A Fine Blog recently caught up with construction, which seems to have been moving along nicely.
The $150 million project being spearheaded by the Dermot Company and Rodgers Architects. will add 140 hotel rooms to the landmarked building, plus a rooftop bar and restaurant, and a massive hall and private events space. According to an on-site worker, the project will be completed in "a year and a half or so."
