See New York City From Deep Space, Shot By a 'Very Big Lens'

NASA's Scott Kelly is spending a year in space, with liftoff on March 27, and that means filling a Twitter feed with pretty incredible aerial views of geographical locales from Mexico to Mumbai. Animal first spotted Kelly's shot of lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and parts of New Jersey, posted over the weekend and captured from 249 miles above the earth. Three observations. 1) "Yes, we have a very big lens." 2) The whole skyscrapers-casting-shadows thing looks pretty real from up there. 3) This view is, obviously, even more bonkers than that from 1 World Trade Center's One World Observatory, when it opens in May. There aren't towers this tall in New York City... yet.
