William Randolph Hearst left some downright stunning New York City real estate behind when he took off for the balmy shores of California to build Hearst Castle. Included in the fray was this grand Central Park West penthouse, which has been on the market since November and was just hit with a $4.75 million prichechop (h/t StreetEasy). The penthouse at 91 Central Park West is now asking $22.75 million for its intricate woodwork, lovely stained glass, and sweeping Central Park views.
Another former Hearst-owned penthouse at The Clarendon on Riverside Drive is also vying to sell, and was just hit with a $14 million pricechop that brought its ask down to $24 million.
