Spot the New York City Landmarks in This Detailed Drawing

New, 1 comment

Pittsburgh-based artist Nathan Doverspike spent four months drawing an incredibly detailed illustration of New York by hand. It includes not only landmark sights and buildings but also referenes to pop culture and history. He's taken to Kickstarter to get funding to make prints, having raised $80 of a total $3,500 so far. (He's got until May 24, but someone help a talented dude out.) From Coney Island's Wonder Wheel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ephemera, see how many little allusions you can spot.

He started with pencil, then filled it in with pen and ink.

He colored it using Photoshop.
