Bronx's 'Castle on the Concourse' Will Be Demolished Soon

New, 1 comment

Bronx P.S. 31—more famously known as the "Castle on the Concourse"—will be torn down imminently, Crain's reports. The building was landmarked in 1986, but the demarcation didn't save the stately 1899 structure this time around. In its place, the city is encouraging the development of an affordable housing complex and will issue an RFP for the 30,000-square-foot property where about 120 apartments can be constructed.
