Robot Parking-Equipped Village Condos Near Completion

New, 3 comments

Plans for the condo conversion of the former parking garage at 12 East 13th Street started rolling in late 2012, and the building looks like it is nearing the end of its makeover. Field Condition recently stopped by the CetraRuddy-designed development, where scaffolding is being removed to reveal the structure's fresh new face. The red-brick facade features industrial-style windows with black, chevron-patterned metal spandrels, which look great, but the four-story metal and glass penthouse that was built atop the original building looks kind of clunky. The building features a robotic parking system and holds eight units.

Sales first launched in late 2013, but failed to find any buyers. They relisted in June 2014, and finally, two condos—an $11.25M four-bedroom and a $13.775M three-bedroom—are in contract (the first signed in March, the second just last week). The triplex penthouse relisted last week, for the same $30.5M price tag.
