Condos Replacing Broken Angel House Are a Real Bummer

New, 3 comments

Artist Arthur Wood losing his eccentric Clinton Hill home, known as the Broken Angel, to developer Barrett Design and Development was a sad story, and it's one that has not gotten any happier now that Barrett has released the first renderings of the condo development that will replace that iconic structure. The units, six out of ten of which have been listed, are asking between $1.125 million and $2.375 million and embody the platonic ideal of boring new construction. Adding insult to injury, the development's logo (seen on the floorplans) seems to be making some vague reference to the Broken Angel, the cool thing that had to die so that this lame thing could exist.
