'Decidedly Luxurious & Exclusive' Condos Heading to Chelsea

New, 6 comments

A Chelsea lot flipped by its former owner for an $18 million-plus profit will become the site of nine "opulent and expansive" dwellings developed by The Amirian Group. GRADE Architecture announced the project at 117 West 21st Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues, which they'll be designing in full, in an email accompanied by the project's first rendering. Here's the gist of what's to come: the six-story building will grow from the site's four-story former Hershey factory, and have six floor-through apartments, two duplex penthouses, and one townhouse, all with "decidedly luxurious and exclusive" interiors (whatever that means.)

The building will be designed holistically (whatever that means x2) and have a doorman, storage, and five on-site parking spots. GRADE is using "top-line" materials in the hopes of attracting"discerning buyers." What that all says? It won't be cheap to buy into this building.
