Work began in late 2013 on a new rental building in Astoria, and this fall, it will bestow upon the neighborhood 62 apartments. It's located about three blocks from the water, on 21st Street between 30th Road and 30th Drive, and the marketing team at Modern Spaces sent along a new rendering of the seven-story building, which is designed by TKA Studio and developed by the Tsilo Group. Apartments will range from studios to two-bedrooms, and all units will have a washer/dryer, maple floors, and Italian kitchen cabinetry. As evidenced by the balconies in the rendering, many apartments will also have private outdoor space. No word yet on pricing.
Shared amenities include a gym, virtual doorman, a package room, and a rooftop deck "with lounges and sun bathing areas." There will also be bike and car parking available. And for whatever reason, the building will be named The Grove, which is a lot better than a lot of other buildings.
