A former Mitchell Lama building on Roosevelt Island is making its first rounds as a market-rate co-op building (h/t Roosevelt Islander). The six apartments now for sale in the development, built in 1975 and situated on the sliver of an island between Manhattan and Queens, start at $392,900 for a 596-square-foot studio and reach to $1.007 million for a 1,656-square-foot three-bedroom duplex. Corcoran, which is listing the apartments, says that future co-ops to come to market will have as many as four bedrooms. Apropos to the development's name, the apartments' finishes, which include wide oak-plank flooring and quartz, look more beach house than NYC apartment, but hey, that's okay.
