Watch One World Trade Center Rise in Just Two Minutes

It took 11 years for One World Trade Center to be built, which felt like a very long time, probably because it was. But the whole process feels much less arduous condensed into EarthCam's two-minute time lapse of the construction process. At a rate of just under one month per second, the tower just shoots right up, giving us the chance the experience the building of One World Trade—the pinnacle of which officially opens to the public today—all over again, but without all the waiting and the lack of dramatic music.
