Barclays Center Finally Sprouts Long-Promised Green Roof

New, 4 comments

It's been over a decade in the works, but Barclays Center is finally getting its long-anticipated green roof. Field Condition's few pictures of the installation show that only a few of the planted roof tiles have been installed, but when complete, the center's roof will be covered in vegetation that thrives year-round. Not only is the green roof going to be downright good-looking, but it will also serve to absorb errant sound from the sports and event arena. DNAinfo notes that the project of laying the two-by-two square tiles of sedum will be complete by the fall.
