Despite the silly name, Sky, New York City's future largest rental building (number-of-units-wise—New York By Gehry has it beat on height) looks quite nice. A New York Times writeup today revealed a number of enticing details about the building, as well as a couple of new renderings of the outdoor pools and the lobby. The pools aren't the only lavish amenity at the Moinian Group-developed project, either—there's also another indoor pool, a Turkish bath, a yoga room and a cafe with free breakfast daily, and a full-size basketball court where designers the Rockwell Group "wanted the rims of the hoops to be gold leaf, but we decided they would be too tough to see," Mitchell Moinian joked, or possibly didn't. One-bedrooms in the building will reportedly cost as much as $7,000/month. start at $4,150/month.
