Notorious Condo Developer Checks Out NYC's Priciest Listing

New, 2 comments

Developer Michael Shvo, the man behind Lower Manhattan's future tallest residential tower, Chelsea's Peter Marino-designed The Getty, and more, was spotted checking out the Safras townhouses on East 62nd Street, the Post reports. The three adjacent townhouses, currently separated into 13 large rental units, were listed by billionaire Lily Safra, of the Brazilian banking family, for $120 million earlier this month, and the speculation is that they could be combined to create New York City's biggest single-family mansion (at 30,000 square feet, it would be an entire 50 percent bigger than Carlos Slim's massive Upper East Side mansion) which definitely sounds like the kind of thing that could appeal to a purveyor of luxury developments like Shvo.
