Mary-Kate Olsen & Olivier Sarkozy's Old Love Nest Is For Rent

New, 9 comments

Before Mary-Kate Olsen and beau Olivier Sarkozy started shacking up in their stunning $13.5 million Turtle Bay Gardens abode, the fashionista and banker posted up in a 1860-built townhouse at 125 East 10th Street. That townhouse, just off of Second Avenue on one of the loveliest of lovely blocks in the East Village, is now on the rental market asking $26,500/month, TRD reports. The townhouse has been on and off the market for seven years, and the listing echoes its owner's desperation just a teeny tiny bit. "Available either unfurnished or furnished it can also be rented short or long term," the listing reads. In other words, someone please just rent this, okay?

The townhouse shares a 28-foot-wide by 36-foot-deep garden with the neighboring townhouse at No. 123, which Sarkozy owned and unloaded for $6.4 million in January of 2014. According to TRD, the duo upgraded the townhouse at 125 East 10th Street with new bathrooms and a new kitchen, despite only being renters. They must have very particular tastes: Olsen and Sarkozy have tapped Steven Harris for a $3 million renovation of their East 49th Street digs.
