New, 10 comments

BRP Companies has acquired a development site in Jamaica, with plans to build two huge mixed-use towers, The Real Deal reports.

The affordable housing developer bought the assemblage site at 93-01 Sutphin Boulevard for $19.5 million. It now plans to construct a 737,000-square-foot mixed-use project dubbed The Crossing, which will include 580 mixed-income apartments and 100,000 square feet of retail space. The project will cost $300 million and is considered to be "the largest private investment in the area in decades."
