Chris Hughes, who cofounded Facebook in 2003, and Sean Eldridge, an activist financier who ran for Congress in upstate New York, just put their well-decorated Soho loft on the market. The condo at 30 Crosby Street, which boasts plenty of 19th-century wood columns and exposed brick and clocks in at over 4,000 square feet, has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a library with custom floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. The couple bought the place in 2010 for $4.8 million; the Journal reports that they added more beds and baths as well as a breakfast nook and that beautiful library.
Hughes, who bought the New Republic, earned ire for his actions there late last year. Eldridge lost his political race in November of 2014. They've been called the "America's worst gay power couple," but that seems rather harsh. No doubt power brokers, they are also activists and political donors, and are hosting a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in the for-sale loft next week.
