ODA Will Bring Even More Boxy Condos to the Lower East Side

New, 8 comments

The stalled condo project at 165 Chrystie Street has stayed under the radar—probably because its permits are still pending and there's a stop-work order on the site right now. But BuzzBuzzHome has a first look at the 10-story, nine-unit building, designed by ODA Architecture. Lest anyone forget, that's the firm headed by Eran Chan that dreams up a ton of buildings that look like stacks o' boxes. This one is really no exception, but there's no cantilever in this one. It's really rather modest, when you think about the alternatives. The pending permits call for amenities including a virtual doorman and a common roof terrace.
