One of seven buildings developed by Related and Hudson Companies on the wee island of Roosevelt has launched leasings from a similarly wee price. It must just be something about Roosevelt Islandas with asks at the island's newest co-op building to launch sales, Riverwalk Point offers rentals with new fittings and amenities for asks that seem lower than its Manhattan, or even Long Island City, counterparts. The building's 266 studios to two-bedrooms start at $2,225, with junior one-bedrooms starting at $2,550, one-bedrooms at $2,900, and two-bedrooms at $4,150. All apartments come with washers and dryers and many with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The 22-story building designed by Handel Architects is the last to arrive in the seven-building Riverwalk complex, which includes three condo buildings, another rental building, and two buildings of staff housing for Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Weill Cornell Medical College. Riverwalk Point has obtained LEED Silver status.
