Cobble Hill Townhouse Gets $15.5M, Breaks Brooklyn Record

New, 3 comments

The enormous and mysterious townhouse at 177 Pacific Street in Cobble Hill has sold for $15.5 million, shattering the Brooklyn record, the Daily News reports. Unlike most pricey listings, this one was woefully short on photos as, according to the brokerbabble, "property is in the final stage of a custom renovation." However, the description includes word of such features as "an indoor 20 person movie theater, a gym, children's play room, bar, wine cellar, a spectacular 2600 square foot roof garden with a stream and outdoor kitchen, and an elevator to take you to every level." The renovation was undertaken by an LLC-shielded owner who purchased the house for a mere $1.5 million in 2011. The previous record holder was Truman Capote's old townhouse in Brooklyn Heights, which sold for $12 million in 2012.
