Residents of Lenox Terrace in Harlem are livid after learning that their landlord filed plans to rezone the development without informing them. According to DNAinfo, the Olnick Organization—which owns the six-building complex on Lenox Avenue—filed papers with the Department of City Planning back in November to begin the rezoning process, which would see the construction of six glassy new buildings and 1,300 new residential units. However, tenants say that Olnick hasn't held any public meetings in over a year, and that they are now racing to stop the plan before the city begins the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. In 2014, a survey showed that 78 percent of Lenox Terrace residents opposed the rezoning plan. [DNAinfo; previously]
