Herzog & de Meuron's 215 Chrystie Finally Inches Skyward

New, 2 comments

That stop-work order holding up construction at the site of Ian Schrager's Lower East Side hotel and condo project is a thing of the distant past these days. Bowery Boogie reports that the building on the corner Chrysite and Stanton streets now rises all of two stories above grade after months of site prep and foundation pouring. Along with the construction update comes word that eight of the building's 11 condos have sold, leaving only its $18.75 million penthouse and two condos asking around $7 million up for grabs. The Herzog & de Meuron-designed building, anchored by Schrager's 370-room Public hotel, will stand 28 stories tall.
