Prolific New York starchitect Annabelle Selldorf has wanted to fill the vacant lot on the corner of Bond and Lafayette streets with an apartment building since 2012, and the dream has almost become reality. 10 Bond Street, her stylish creation of terra cotta and steel that houses just 11 fancy co-ops, is nearly complete, with closings slated to start in July. (Of seven apartments on the open market, ranging from $4.3 to $7.8 million, five are in contract.) Yesterday developers SK Development, Ironstate Development, and the Chetrit Group released images of apartment 4E, which is the first unit to be built out and furnished. The sales gallery is elaborate, of course, but now we're inside the buildingoff you go, mere renderings. The model is asking $7.1 million, and watch for the penthouse and townhouse portions of the project will list soon.
