Ian Schrager's hotel and condo development at 215 Chrystie Street is really on the rise now. Field Condition visited the site to find that the project now stands six stories from the ground, which pretty much puts it at the same height as many of its Lower East Side neighbors. Being that its grown four stories in a little over a month, it'll tower over its neighbors in no time. When complete, the Herzog & de Meuron-designed tower will rise 28 stories, have 370 hotel rooms under Schrager's Public Hotel brand, and be topped by 11 half- and full-floor condos.
