New Looks at Chelsea's Next Private Pool-Touting Apartments

New, 6 comments

New renderings have emerged for yet another Chelsea development that will have the outrageous amenity of private pools. Just blocks away from Soori High Line, which first brought the aquatic amenity to the pricey neighborhood, Six Sigma is developing the six-apartment condo conversion at 435 West 19th Street. Formerly home to the photography studios and sound stages of CityStage, the existing five-story building will undergo a thorough renovation by the firm helmed by Pritzker Prize-winner I.M. Pei's son, Pei Partnership, reports 6sqft. During the renovation, three floors will be added to the building and its brick facade will be replaced with one of glass and steel. If private pools wasn't enough of an amenity, the building will also have an electronic parking system similar to Annabelle Selldorf's Sky Garage. "It will probably be one of the most automated buildings" in the city, Six Sigma's president told The Real Deal in September.

The six condos, spread over eight stories, will be huge with an average size over 4,000 square feet (!!!). The boutique condo building will also have shared amenities, like a gym, wine cellar, and theater.
