Live Atop a Rego Park Shopping Center From $2,045/Month

New, 13 comments

Last June, Vornado's upscale rental tower rising at the intersection of Junction Boulevard and 62nd Avenue was just a few beams and some netting, but now that building is renting (with immediate occupancy, to boot.) The Alexander, as it's now known, has 312 apartments that start at $2,045 for studios, $2,455 for one-bedrooms, and $3,130 for two-bedrooms, which isn't cheap considering it's about 40 minutes by train from Times Square. The apartments are designed by Fogarty Finger and come with the tried and true roster of new development finishes: white oak flooring, Caesarstone quartz countertops, Italian porcelain tile flooring in kitchens and baths, and Whirlpool appliances.

The SLCE-designed building also has amenities like a 24-hour concierge, gym, game room, resident lounge, an indoor and outdoor playground, a landscaped terrace with cabanas and a barbecue area, and on-site parking (the building does, after all, sit above a parking garage.)
