If a song were an object or architecture, what would it look like? Perhaps like this recent 24-by-32 foot installation. In a temporary exhibition mounted at New York's New Museum last weekend, visitors were invited to touch, push, walk through, roll against, climb onto or dive into an aluminum frame wrapped in stretchable net meant to act as a kind of physical manifestation of a song. A team of musicians, technologists and architects created the sensorial installation, called Delqa, which offered visitors the chance to step into a song and alter its composition. Too bad it was a temporary installation and lasted only one weekend. Here's hoping they bring it back.
