DoBro's Newest Apartment Building Will Not Be Glassy

New, 4 comments

Just about every new residential tower in Downtown Brooklyn in sheathed in bluish glass, but the new building at 237 Duffield Street is bucking the trend. New renderings show that the 21-story, 105-unit building, located between Fulton and Willoughby streets on the block beside City Point, will be a red brick structure with black gridded windows. 6sqft feet calls it bland—and perhaps it is, when compared to the undulating hotel that was once proposed for the site—but we think this building could turn out to be an understated looker. Urban Tectonics is the architect, Castle Rock Equity Group is the developer, and work is currently underway.
