NYU Langone Medical Center has announced that it will establish a new facility at the huge Essex Crossing megaproject currently taking shape on the Lower East Side.
The Lo-Down reports that the new facility will be the Joan H. and Preston Robert Tisch Center, an extension of the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men's Health. The 40,000-square-foot site will serve both men and women, providing "primary care, ambulatory surgery, urgent care, cardiac procedures, orthopaedics and sports medicine, plastic surgery, and more."
According to a spokesperson, the Tisch Center will be located at site 6 of Essex Crossing, which is located at the corner of Delancey and Clinton Streets. It will share the site with several dozen units of senior housing, and is slated to open in late 2018.
