This Renovated 1960s Hamptons Pad Will Have You Swooning

Well, this is rather nice. Sag Harbor, New York-based studio Bates Masi Architects has finished a rad renovation in the Hamptons on a 1960s house in need of some TLC. According to Bates Masi, the clients, a DJ and an interior designer, wanted the firm to revamp the pad (a '60s kit house) as the couple's weekend getaway from the city. So, the firm gutted the 2,000-square-foot house, updating its post-and-beam framework, and adding new finishes on the exterior and inside the house. Reclaimed wood, rope, and industrial-style touches give the interiors a lightly nautical vibe, but, really, this is just a luxe summer escape through and through.
