Fredrik Eklund, one of the three stars of Million Dollar Listing NY, which unlike Million Dollar Listing Miami is actually a really popular and successful real estate reality show, has bought a unit at Eighty Seven Park. Eklund is a broker with Douglas Elliman, which is the firm selling the project, and a pal of Oren Alexander, a Miami-based Douglas Elliman broker, so that connection might have had something to do with it. Oren has been involved with the project although fellow Elliman broker Eloy Carmenate was more recently made the exclusive sales agent. Apparently the purchase was a bit of a secret until Eklund announced on his Facebook page that he and his hubby Derek Kaplan bought a vacation place there with their family.
