See How NYC's Renter Density Compares To Other US Cities

New, 5 comments

This fun interactive map from journalist/web developer Ken Schwencke shows where in the United States all the homeowners and renters are, with blue dots representing owners and red ones representing renters. Unsurprisingly, every major city is dominated by renters, New York City in particular. Manhattan, except for Fifth and Park avenues and a sprinkling of owners in Tribeca and the Financial District, is basically one solid red block, as is the majority of Brooklyn, Queens, and, especially, the Bronx. Staten Island, which technically counts, is mostly homeowners.
