Building Made of Glassy Rectangles Coming to Flushing

New, 6 comments

Last week, developer New City Management filed permits for a new project set to rise in Murray Hill section of Flushing, and now, renderings for the 14-story, mixed-use building have been published by YIMBY. It looks like a bit Mondrian painting, but glassy and kind of boring.

The building—located at 144-74 Northern Boulevard—will have 120 apartments spread across 11 floors and 100,000 square feet, with lots of green space (almost every floor will have planted terraces), and a huge, glass and aluminum atrium rising from the first floor to the roof. It will also have 50,000 square feet of commercial and community space at the base and a parking garage with room for 225 cars.

The project is being developed by Oz Levi of New City Management, with Morali Architects handling the design.
