New, 4 comments

The median rent in Park Slope is $3,000 per month, but a new development is offering two-bedrooms for $1,070—through an affordable housing lottery, of course. A few apartments are up for grabs in the new 17-unit building at 65 Park Place between Fifth and Sixth avenues, Brick Underground reports. To qualify for the two two-bedrooms renting for $1,070, a household must earn a minimum of $36,686. A family of two can earn no more than $41,460; a family of three can earn no more than $46,620; and a family of four can earn no more than $51,780. There are also two one-bedroom apartments up for grabs for $945 a month. A single applicant must earn between $32,400 and $36,300; for a couple, it's between $32,400 and $41,460.

Applications are available via the Housing Connect website. The lottery closes on October 13.
