New York's Future Tallest Tower Is Still a Hole In the Ground

New, 14 comments

When complete, Central Park Tower will be the tallest residential building in New York City—at least for a little while. At 1,550 feet, the building will stand taller than 1 World Trade Center without its spire, and as tall as five Statue of Liberties stacked on top of each other. Foundation work is still underway at the site—pictured in a new blast to the Curbed Flickr Pool from ILNY_—but developer Extell has yet to confirm the tower's design. New renderings for the project surfaced not too long ago depicting the tower without its spire, but whether that will be the project's final look is sadly a little too hard to tell from a sophisticated hole in the ground.
