Stately Prospect Park West Townhouse Seeks $4 Million

New, 10 comments

The listing for this Park Slope townhouse claims that "one does not come across treasures such as this very often," which would be easy to dismiss as brokerbabble if the house wasn't so darn charming. First, there's the location: The five-bedroom home is located right in the prime part of Prospect Park West, across from the 3rd Street entrance to the park. Then there's the exterior, clad in brick; there's also a loggia on the upper floor, which gives the master bedroom a view of Prospect Park (!). And then there's the home itself: There are two separate outdoor spaces (a roof deck and a ground-floor patio), a renovated kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, a private garage, and charming details throughout (check out the radiator covers). It's currently kitted out in shabby-chic, country-ish style, but it kind of works considering the vintage feel of the place. And it could all be yours for about $4 million.
