A four-story, mixed-use building will soon rise at 237 Pacific Street in Boerum Hill, Brownstoner reports.
The permits indicate that the building will be designed by architect Teresa Byrne Salter, previously of Brooklyn Heights-based DeLaCour, Ferrara & Church Architects. It will be constructed from brick, with wood cladding. Neighboring 242 Pacific Street (with interiors by Beastie Boy Mike D!) is made from similar materials, and it actually looks pretty nice!
The building will replace a vacant lot (formerly an auto repair shop, pictured above) owned by Nicolas Quinones since 1974. Brownstoner speculates that Quinones will keep the building as an investment property and that it will eventually house rental units, with three apartments per floor, for a total of 3,898 square feet of residential space.
