New Yorkers dreaming of suburbia can now find it on Bond Street in Boerum Hill. The first of five townhouses designed by Ben Hansen (who designed his own modern house just down the block) are now on the market, with prices starting at $4.49 million, which the marketing team points out, is "half of what one might cost on the Upper West Side." Each house measures 4,100 square feet over six levels, and, like all good suburban homes, they come with a single-car garage and BBQ-equipped backyard. They are pre-wired for zoned heating and cooling controls, and feature separate laundry rooms and rooftop terraces. The houses occupy numbers 73 to 79, and currently there are live listings for no. 75, a 4,151-square-foot house asking $4.85 million, and no. 79, 4,131 square feet and $4.49 million.

Kitchens feature two different color schemes, dark or light, stainless steel Gaggenau appliances, dual wall ovens, a speed oven, and 36" five burner gas range. The kitchen opens into the living room where there is a stone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that lead to the garden.

The master suite encompasses the whole second floor, and there are two additional bedrooms on the third floor. The two lower levels hold storage and "a flex room with wet bar and A/V closet." The homes should be ready for occupancy by summer 2016.
