One of the many new residential buildings coming to the Greenpoint waterfront, 79 Quay Street, has finally fully unveiled itself. New York YIMBY scored renderings of the converted warehouse with a residential addition and it sure looks…boxy. The three-story warehouse will sprout a six-story residential addition that will have views of the East River and small terraces. The development will have 64 apartments in all ranging in size from duplex studios to three-bedrooms, YIMBY says.

The development will take advantage of building bonuses in exchange for some below-market-rate units. Cayuga Capital, who's also behind the cantilevering office building bound for Williamsburg, is developing the project, and Cycle Architecture + Planning is behind its design. YIMBY notes that plans for the site have yet to be filed, and the principal of Cayuga Capital declined to comment.
