Shock Jock Don Imus Ditching $20M Central Park West Pads

New, 23 comments

The Rosario Candela-designed co-op at 75 Central Park West has attracted its fair share of celebrities over the years, including actors Hank Azaria (who bought a $9.2 million apartment there last year) and Amy Irving, who just scooped up a pad there last year. But one of its more notorious residents, radio personality Don Imus (who, yes, still has an audience for his shock-jock-y antics) is looking to get out: public records show that Imus recently listed two of the properties he owns in the building—a 15th-floor penthouse and a smaller ground-floor unit, which he and his wife purchased in 2006—for a combined $19,800,000. The decor looks more like something you'd find in a desert home than along Central Park—fitting, considering one of Imus's more charitable endeavors is running a working cattle ranch in New Mexico, which welcomes children who've had cancer or other serious illnesses.
