Expect Ben Shaoul's Katz's-adjacent condos to rise above ground soon: A tipster points out that signage has appeared on the site of the development at 196 Orchard Street, and according to a spokesperson, construction has already begun on the property, with the foundation to be finished sometime in the spring. The 11-story building, developed by Shaoul's Magnum Realty and Real Estate Equities Corporation, will have 94 studio to three-bedroom apartments, with prices starting at $1 million. Ismael Leyva is the architect, and among its amenities is a two-story Equinox gym on the ground floor. The building should be completed sometime next year.
