New looks at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners's Financial District tower

The 25-story, mixed-use development will hold 31 apartments

Fresh renderings have emerged for 1 Beekman, a 25-story tower that will hold both apartments and commercial space right in the heart of the Financial District’s City Hall Park district. Designed by the architecture firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the images were first published by development firm Urban Muse then picked up by CityRealty.

This is the firm’s first residential project for New York City and it’s being called "Pearl on the Park." When construction wraps in the spring of 2018, the tower will hold 31 one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging between 900 and 2,900 square feet, three commercial units with approximately 4,500 square feet each, and one retail space with around 3,200 square feet.

The facade is a balance between glass and metal accents. Most floors boast some sort of green space, and it’s likely that the layouts will optimize views of nearby City Hall Park. There’s also green space planned for the top floor of the building as a roof amenity.

At the tower's base, according to CityRealty, "the building will feature a glazing system designed to yield a street presence and lend a greater transparency to the lobby and retail areas."

No word yet on whether there will be rentals or condos inside this 335-foot tower, or what they will be priced at. Besides its proximity to City Hall Park, the tower is right across the street from 5 Beekman, also known as Beekman Residences, a 51-story tower with 68 condo apartments. These new renderings follow less than a month after the first set of renderings were unveiled for this project.
