The uber-pricey Annabelle Selldorf-designed condos on Bowery have finally revealed their shimmering zinc-clad exterior, construction site photos by Bowery Boogie have revealed.
The 13-story building, a former Salvation Army shelter, is comprised of just five condos—four duplexes and a three-story penthouse. Sales on the condos launched in June this year, and just five days later the $17 million penthouse had already gone into contract. If the nearly 4,000-square-foot penthouse sold for its full asking price, it would easily decimate the record for the most expensive home sold on the Bowery.
One other apartment, a $6.5 million duplex on the third and fourth floors is also in contract. A $7.5 million duplex there is currently on the market, but the remaining two apartments have yet to be released.
It took about a year for the 13-story structure to be built, and the building topped out in February this year. Construction on the overall project, which is being developed by Urban Muse is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.
