Elegant Upper East Side one-bedroom with ‘good bones’ wants $975K

The floor-through apartment is apparently a "diamond in the rough"

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

There’s not a ton of detail about this one-bedroom floor-through, but the listing for this Upper East Side co-op promises the place is "a true diamond in the rough."

And it’s true that the apartment has quite a lot going for it. The living room is exceedingly charming, with high ceilings, built-in bookshelves, herringbone floors, excellent light, and a real abundance of crown molding. The bedroom is similarly sun-drenched and spacious, and though the listing dwells on neither, the kitchen looks serviceable and the bathroom is contemporary and reasonably stylish. The place is listed at $975,000—still six figures, if barely. On the downside, monthly maintenance fees are a not-insignificant $2,389.

Although it’s billed as "RARELY AVAILABLE," the place was last on the market just over a year ago, according to StreetEasy.
